Introduction

Visio is the ideal tool for creating scale floor plans, organisations charts, network diagrams, complex flow charts, in fact any diagram. In this our introductory/intermediate course we will cover the fundamentals of working with Visio and the built-in stencils, look at how to create and connect diagrams, add objects, and format shapes, pictures, text, and more. We will then focus on creating some of the more commonly used diagram* types.

Participants will gain the skills and insights to:

  • Navigate the Visio workspace and create professional diagrams from scratch
  • Work confidently with stencils, shapes, connectors, containers, and themes
  • Build organisation charts, brainstorm maps, floorplans, and more
  • Align, layer, and format diagrams to produce polished, print-ready outputs
  • Customise pages, structure layouts, and export drawings for different uses

Who is this Course for?

This course is designed for professionals who want to communicate ideas visually using diagrams. It’s ideal for team members in operations, IT, facilities, admin, project management, HR, and business analysis roles. No prior Visio experience is needed.
